The Maniilaq Association Dental Department is excited to announce the School Fluoride Program, an initiative aimed at promoting dental health among students in the Maniilaq Service Area. The program underscores the critical role fluoride plays in preventing tooth decay and promoting stronger teeth. This program, which is set to kick off in January 2024, will go a long way in helping students maintain good oral health.
If you are a parent or guardian and would like your child to participate in the School Fluoride Program, a consent form will be sent home with your student. This form needs to be filled out and returned to the school. It is important to note that only students with signed consent will be allowed to participate in the program. Please ensure that each student in your care has their own form submitted. The consent form will accompany a Fluoride Program Informational Packet that provides more details about the program.
If you have any questions or need additional information about the School Fluoride Program, please feel free to contact the MHC Dental Department at 907-442-7325. Your inquiries and concerns are always welcome, as our primary goal is to ensure that the process is as clear and beneficial as possible for all participating students and their parents or guardians.
The Dental Department, located at Maniilaq Health Center, is thrilled about kickstarting this program in January 2024.
